What is Arbitration?

Arbitration is a legal process for resolving disputes outside of traditional court. In arbitration proceedings, the parties involved in the dispute agree to appoint a neutral third party, known as an arbitrator. The Parties can either appoint a single arbitrator or a panel of arbitrators (usually three in number). An arbitrator performs a similar role to that of a judge in that they are responsible for managing the proceedings to ensure the parties to the dispute have a reasonable opportunity of presenting their case. Based on this assessment, the arbitrator makes a binding decision, which is called a trial court decision. Arbitration provides a confidential and convenient alternative to litigation, allowing parties to resolve their disputes quickly and efficiently.

What is the Benefit of Arbitration?

Arbitration typically offers faster resolution than court proceedings, saving parties time and costs associated with lengthy litigation.
